American Legion Post 54 Gunnison Colorado Post 54 is the hub of veteran services in the Gunnison Valley. Visit our historic building in American Legion Memorial Park!

Meeting every 3rd Wednesday, dinner at 1700, meeting starts at 1800. Veteran Breakfast every 1st Saturday, 0900-1100. Veteran Breakfast the first Saturday of every month 0900-1100. The building is available for private use, by donation.

Gunnison Country Times- Veterans' Voice- 'I will always be proud to have served my country', written by Nancy McKelvie from the words of her father Tom McKelvie.

Tom passed away in the Fall of 2025 at 101 years. A Military Honors Service is planned for Summer 2026 in Gunnison.
