At 5:21 this afternoon, Gunter FD and Allegiance Mobile Health were toned out to a major accident, car vs. train at Reed Lane at the railroad crossing. The scene size-up indicated major vehicle damage with vehicle upside- down and patients out of vehicle.

Two patients were transported, non-emergent and the track was shut down during the investigation and clean-up. Gunter Police Department was on scene as well as Texas DPS and BNSF representatives. LW's Towing was on-scene for vehicle removal.

We have an elevated fire threat today as well as high temperatures through next week. Grayson County is currently under a BURN BAN, so remember, there is no outdoor burning. Please limit your outdoor activities, drink plenty of water and check in on your elderly neighbors.

At 3:59pm, Gunter FD and Allegiance Mobile Health were toned out for a major accident at FM121 and Vaughn Rd. Dispatch indicated a possible semi rollover. While responding, Gunter immediately requested Tioga Volunteer Fire Department to assist with traffic. Scene size-up indicated an overturned semi with major damage and road blockage with the occupant out of the vehicle. FM121 was immediately shutdown with the assistance of Gunter Police Department. DPS was on-scene for accident investigation.

Skeeters Wrecker Service arrived with multiple heavy wreckers and other apparatus.

Currently, at 8:33pm Gunter and Tioga FDs are still on scene, blocking traffic while cleanup continues. (Update - we finally cleared at 9:45pm)

We greatly appreciate Tiogas willingness to stay out here with us to shut down the intersection and reroute traffic.

UPDATE 9:45pm - Roadway has re-opened.4:30PM - FM121 shut down between Scoggins Rd and Grayson Pkwy. Avoid the area.
