๐Ÿšจ TRAFFIC ADVISORY โ€“ FLOODING CONDITIONS ๐Ÿšจ

The Guntersville City Police Department would like to advise motorists of generalized flooding in several areas within both the City of Guntersville and Marshall County jurisdictions.

โš ๏ธ Affected Areas:
โ€ข Browns Valley Road (entirety) within the city limits and county jurisdiction
โ€ข 4400 Block of Browns Valley Road
โ€ข Suck Egg Lane
โ€ข Pond Road
โ€ข Pond Circle

A drainage ditch malfunction/overfill in the 4400 block of Browns Valley Road has resulted in overflow conditions, causing ponding and standing water on the roadway. Also reported within the city limits was water over the roadway in the surrounding areas of Suck Egg Lane, Pond Road, and Pond Circle. Additionally, according to the Marshall County Commission, generalized flooding has been observed along Browns Valley Road from Country Lake Road to Warrenton Road.

At this time, the water is not swift-moving, and all affected roadways remain passable with caution. However, motorists should exercise extreme care when traveling through these areas.

โœ… Reduce your speed.
โœ… Allow extra stopping distance.
โœ… Watch for standing water and changing roadway conditions.
โœ… Consider using an alternate route if possible.

The Guntersville City Police Department will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as necessary. Please drive safely and remain alert for changing weather and roadway conditions.
