Sunday Cast & Catch – Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 8:00 AM
Crafting with Nature – Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 1:00 PM

Don’t miss the last sunset paddle of the season!

Paddle into the sunset on beautiful Lake Guntersville on September 5, 2026 at this two-hour guided paddle. We will be exploring the history of the area and discovering the incredible biodiversity in the park’s water, woods, and sky!

Rental kayaks are limited, so advance registration is required. Guests are also welcome to bring their own kayaks, canoes, or paddleboards to join the adventure!

Pre-register by visiting https://www.alapark.com/parks/lake-guntersville-state-park/park-events-and-programs and selecting the registration type you need (no rental, single kayak rental, etc.)!

Join the Naturalist on August 28, 2026, to learn about the history of the Guntersville area and the creation of Lake Guntersville State Park!

You’ll hear stories of the people who lived in the area hundreds of years ago, view photo albums and news articles from the park’s past, and even see historic artifacts from the area!

This two-hour guided paddle will start at the Short Creek Boat Launch and cover 1.5 miles of shoreline. We’ll be discussing the history of the area, searching for wildlife, and watching the sunset over beautiful Lake Guntersville during this 2-hour program!

Grab your fishing pole!

On Saturday, August 15, 2026, anglers of all ages and experience levels are invited to join the Park Naturalist for a Saturday Cast & Catch at the Campground Fishing Pier!

Don’t have your own equipment? No worries! We will have a limited number of fishing poles available for use.

Those 16 or older who plan to fish with us will need to bring proof of their current Alabama freshwater fishing license.
