Gurdon School District will be serving FREE sack lunches for kids today from 12:00–1:00 PM at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, 410 Bell Avenue.

Just look for the Gurdon school bus parked outside! 💜💛

Wow! Gurdon Jr. High Quiz Bowl at Nationals! These students never gave up and walked away with the highest stats ever at this level! Overall the team was 4th out of 5 (3 private schools) and Callen Johnson won 3rd highest individual! This was a completely new format of questions and game than they normally play. Better yet, they made friends with other teams, grew closer as friends, and showed Go-Devil Pride everywhere they went. Gurdon, you can be proud of these representatives!

We have 3 sessions left before we take our break for dead weeks. We are averaging right at 85 kids per session. Thank you to everyone for showing up and thank you to our cafeteria for providing a meal at the conclusion of speed camp.

The Quiz Bowl team left Witchita this morning and stopped in Dodge City to learn about the historic town. We arrived in Denver this evening and the team took their placement test for competition tomorrow. We will update tomorrow with more info. Thank you to all our donors and the town and school district of Gurdon. We may have a small town, but we are great people with big hearts!!!
