WHAT ARE YOU CAPABLE OF?

Some people are looking for a job.

Others are looking for something more.

A career that challenges them. A place where they can keep learning, take on responsibility, help people, solve problems, and become someone others can count on.

We’re looking for motivated people who want to work hard, grow, and do something that matters.

You don’t need to have your entire career figured out. You don’t need to come from a law enforcement background. Whether you’re beginning your career or realizing it’s time for a new one, policing may be the opportunity you've been looking for.

If you have the character, work ethic, judgment, and willingness to learn, we want you to take a closer look at a career with the Gurnee Police Department.

What are you capable of?

Mosquito Abatement Treatment Tonight

The Village’s contractor, Clarke Environmental Management, will conduct a community-wide mosquito treatment this evening, Tuesday, September 1, continuing into the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 2, weather permitting.

This is the fourth community-wide treatment of the season and is part of the Village’s ongoing effort to reduce the risk of West Nile Virus.

The treatment does not pose a risk to residents. However, those sensitive to odors or chemicals may wish to close windows and doors during treatment.

Residents can also help reduce mosquitoes by eliminating standing water, using insect repellent, and limiting time outdoors around dusk.
