Back-to-school season is a reminder: Prevention starts with all of us.

Sexual violence prevention takes a community working together. At ZCenter, we've built strong partnerships and knowledge over four decades to create something truly special.

Our prevention education program equips young people with the skills to stay safe and build healthy relationships. From Pre-K through college, students receive age-appropriate, evidence-based lessons about bodily autonomy, consent, boundaries, and identifying safe adults.

Sexual violence rates spike early in the semester; 🔴 the Red Zone (or, the time between the first week of school and Thanksgiving break) is a time of increased sexual assault on college campuses.

While this data can feel scary, awareness is power. And ZCenter is here to help everyone understand consent and stay safe.

Remember: sexual violence is never the survivor's fault. It's a choice made by the person who commits it.

Today marks Women's Equality Day, commemorating the 1920 certification of the 19th Amendment. However, this historic milestone granted voting rights only to white women; women of color were systematically denied the right to vote for decades more. While important, this "victory" reveals how far we still have to go to reach equality.

Just as voting rights were inequitably won and distributed, access to safety and justice remains unequal. True equality means every person is safe, believed, and supported.
