The Gateway to Glacier Bay, Gustavus offers a microcosm of all the natural beauty of Alaska. Here you will find an unhurried pace of life – you may head out for a hike and find yourself lingering in a berry patch, enjoying the 360-degree view of the beautiful Fairweather Mountains. Gustavus is not too big -- no industry interfering with the wilderness, no influx of cruise travelers, no string of souvenir shops -- and not too small. Lodgings are available in a range of prices, restaurants feature local foods and an eclectic market serves the community. GVA Members - Monthly meetings at the Library 2nd Tuesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. Teleconferences arranged.

GVA is all about connecting visitors to Gustavus, to bring awareness to this place we love and to share it with others!

If you do one “can’t-miss” experience in Alaska, make it the Glacier Bay Day Tour.

This 8-hour, ranger-narrated cruise departs from the dock near Glacier Bay Lodge and includes lunch + beverages.

Board 6:50 AM, depart 7:15 AM, return around 3:30 PM. Be sure to reserve ahead.
