MEET OUR NEW PROGRAM COORDINATOR: SHELBY VAN HORN!

A little bit about Shelby 🙂
I grew up in Marion County and was an active member of the Marion County 4-H Program. Some project areas I participated in were cattle and pigs. After high school, I pursued a degree in Agriculture Science from Northwest Missouri State University. Upon graduation I worked as the Cass County Youth Coordinator for 5 years. I left extension after I had my daughter Cora to spend more time with her. My heart has always had a very special place for extension and 4-H. When this opportunity for Program Coordinator arose I just couldn’t pass it up! I look forward to working with and getting to know you all in Guthrie County! Look for some fun programs coming up.

Greene County Extension is hiring a county director. This regular and full-time position provides effective program leadership in Greene County to determine program priorities and deliver and evaluate high-quality programs. This position serves as the council designee in providing administrative management and supervision of district programming and staff. This position reports directly to the County Extension Council. Work hours are variable, including some nights and weekends. Requirements include a positive team leader who works with office staff and clients to deliver successful programs.
