📣 2026 Guthrie County Fair Clean-Up Information!

Fair clean-up takes a team, and we appreciate everyone’s help in getting the fairgrounds ready before the fair and cleaned up afterward!

🧹 Pre-Fair Clean-Up:
📅 Sunday, August 30
⏰ 1:00–3:00 PM

*Clover Kids will be cleaning up the building along Hwy 44*

🧹 Post-Fair Clean-Up:
📅 Monday, September 7
⏰ 1:00–3:00 PM
*Immediately following the Premium Auction — times may vary slightly.*

Each 4-H club and FFA chapter has been assigned an area to help with. Please check the flyer below for your club or chapter’s assigned location and responsibilities.

**Members will need to bring w**d eaters, leaf blowers, brooms, shovels, towels, buckets, and other supplies needed to get the job done!**

🚨 ATTENTION ALL GUTHRIE COUNTY FAIR EXHIBITORS! 🚨
Whether you are exhibiting static projects or livestock, this is for YOU!
A Sportsmanship Meeting will be held at the Guthrie County Fair in the showring at the following times:
📅 Thursday Night at 5:30 PM
OR
📅 Friday Morning at 8:00 AM
Exhibitors must attend at least ONE of these meetings in order to be eligible to participate in the Premium Auction.

If you can not make it to one of these meetings - you will need to let the office know BY Wednesday Sept. 2 at 3PM.
THIS IS FOR 4-H'ers (4th-12th Graders) ONLY!

Please plan ahead and make sure you attend one of the two sessions. We want everyone to have a fun, respectful, and successful fair experience!

‼ Attention Exhibitors ‼

IF you plan on having ANY fitters come for the Guthrie County Fair from any other county, you will need to have the list of the names and chapters/clubs and county to the Extension Office by 8/25 at 4:30 PM!

If any others on that aren't on list show up to fit after this deadline that were not given to the office will not be allowed to fit in any capacity!

2026 Fairbook states: Exhibitors are to perform their own fitting and grooming of all livestock. Only immediate family members or other active Iowa 4-H/FFA members, superintendents or leaders may give assistance. Family members are defined as: mom, dad, stepparent or legal guardian, grandparent, brother, sister or step-sibling.
