Looking for a new ag-focused podcast? We've got a new one for you!

Tim Christensen, ISU Extension Farm Management Specialist, and Kristiana Coutu, Beginning Farmer Center Director, recently launched County Roads. Its focus is topics important to farmers at all stages, from beginning to mid-career, to retiring.

Topics include production, financing, land access, labor, and taxes. The first episode covers farm succession planning. Today's features SW Iowa's very own Extension Field Agronomist Aaron Saeugling discussing soil sampling, interpreting results and using those results to make informed management decisions.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach – Guthrie County is looking for a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Office Assistant!

This position serves as the primary contact for the public and supports office operations, bookkeeping, marketing, educational programming, and more. We’re looking for someone with strong customer service, communication, organizational, and computer skills who enjoys working with people and supporting our community.

🕘 Hours: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–4:30 PM
💵 Wage: $18–20/hour, based on experience and education
📍 Location: Guthrie County Extension Office
📅 Position: Part-Time (28 hours/week)

We’ve been so busy the last few weeks! Check out our Crop Monsters growing from the April Library Programs! 🌱👀 Such a fun activity, and everyone had a blast creating their own little monster friend. We can’t wait to see the wild “hairstyles” these Crop Monsters grow over the next few days!
