As of 10/14 at 2:30pm Commissioners and their crews are still out checking roads that are impassable at this time. (They are still out looking.) Below is the current list. If things change we will update the list. Another 2 plus inches of rain is expected this evening and possibly overnight.



Penn north of Charter Oak closed

May south of Charter Oak closed

Charter Oak between Western and Santa Fe is closed.

Simpson west of Santa Fe (west of event center) is also closed.

Southwestern Logan County in central Oklahoma...
Oklahoma County in central Oklahoma...

* Until 1130 AM CDT.

* At 923 AM CDT, broadcast media reported numerous instrances of
flash flooding across the Oklahoma City metro. Between 3 and 4
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Broadcast media reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Oklahoma City, western Norman, Edmond, Moore, Midwest City, Del
City, El Reno, Guthrie, Newcastle, Yukon, Bethany, Mustang,
Choctaw, Warr Acres, The Village, Tuttle, Piedmont, Spencer,
Nichols Hills and Jones.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

Since the time the rain has started the Guthrie mesonet site as recorded 3.13 inches of rain in less than 12 hrs. Rain continues off and on all day. We will be monitoring and watching for anything severe. Remember to take your time driving and give yourself plenty of room between cars. Roads are slick from the oil coming up due to being in a drought. Numerous accidents have already happened this morning.

Good Early morning Logan County!

We are in a flood advisory until 6am, storms are producing heavy rainfall in a short amount of time and could cause some minor flooding in low lying areas.

Happy Monday Logan County! For those of you off for Columbus Day/Indigenous People Day enjoy.

Here is the forecast outlook for this week with graphics.

Monday and Tuesday nice and warm.

Rain chances go up midweek. Our best chances are Wednesday and Thursday. Good soaking rain looks possible with possible flooding. Should help with the drought a little bit. Cooler temps into the weekend.

If any new updates come out we will pass it along.

Yesterday, on 10-7-26 around 2:30pm several agencies were dispatched to a fire near Cashion off MacArthur and Camp. The fire quickly spread to an unoccupied mobile home that was used for storage. Several older nonrunning vehicles also were destroyed in the fire. We appreciate all the agencies that responded as water supply was nonexistent. We also appreciate Kingfisher County Emergency Management for them sending a brush truck and a tanker to assist as well.
