Hello everyone, Joseph Mack here! Over the last several months I have had the unique opportunity to work with some amazing people with the Guthrie Collaborative. Our mission is to further the quality of life for the town of Guthrie, and to create change. The biggest part of this “change” involves the neighborhood of Guthrie that disappeared but has not been forgotten, The Elbow. Our goal is to honor the History of ”The Elbow” community through photos, information, and local interviews. We plan to store that history through historical markers, the Territrial Museum, and the Oklahoma History Center.

This brings me to the purpose of this page. I am currently conducting interviews, looking for photos, and anything else that may connect to ”The Elbow”. If you, or anyone you know is connected to ”The Elbow”, and you’d be willing to share what you know, please let me know! I’d love to speak with you! This is truly a unique opportunity to preserve our history, let’s go!!!

Dear Neighbors,

As the Guthrie Collaborative, we are members of the community whose mission is to further the quality of life for the town of Guthrie. Our members have the opportunity to create and participate in change that will create a sense of place, pride, and flourishing that brings together various diverse groups in our town.
