Felt someone watching me as I walk into my customers house to see why their dryer isn't heating. He obviously wasn't too happy about the dryer or me being there, i couldn't get a word out of em.

Uodate on post.

Parkers test results came back with no cancer Praise the Lord! I will update as I get updated. Thank you all so much! From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Friday was one of those days where being busy felt more like a burden than a blessing. The phone kept ringing, the schedule was packed, and I found myself feeling stressed and overwhelmed. I had sent over a thousand dollars in parts back and my package was missing in action. With each notification brought more anxiety.

But somewhere between appliance calls, I met two customers who were fighting battles far greater than a broken washer or refrigerator. Listening to their stories reminded me that everyone is carrying something, and some burdens are much heavier than a busy workday. One man has a daughter who is 8 years old and her name is Harper. They found a mass in Harper's abdomen. She is going thru extensive testing. If you would, please pray for this sweet girl. The very next call was some folks I have worked for on multiple occasions. He is battling severe COPD. He expressed how he is getting irritated with his treatment and honestly it felt like hope was a thing of the past. It sure triggered some of the same feelings I faced while watching mom towards the end of her Earthly run. Please pray for this man and his wife. It put things into perspective for me. The truth is, I prayed for days like this. I prayed for work, for customers, and for the opportunity to provide for my family.

Friday reminded me that gratitude can change everything. A busy schedule is a blessing. A hard day is still a gift. And sometimes God uses the people we meet along the way to remind us of what really matters.
If you're going through something difficult, know that you're not alone. Keep fighting, keep believing, and keep putting one foot in front of the other. You never know who you're encouraging just by continuing to show up.

Tonight, I'm thankful for the work, thankful for the perspective, and thankful for another day to serve people in my community. ❤️🙏

My first call this morning was in Langston. Once I received the address I thought about some good people I delivered furniture to when I used to work at Acton's Furniture who was Dr. Lester and Dr. Jo Ann Clark. I mean salt of the Earth kind of people and great pillars in their community. So I did what we all do and went to Google and typed in their names. I was awfully sad to find out that Lester passed away on my birthday last year which was June 13th. I then typed Jo Ann's name in and came across many things talking about her selfless service over the years.

As I pull in Langston and turn down the road, I soon realize that the house i was going to was the Clark residence. And guess who answered the door? You got it, Jo Ann Clark. We caught up and I fixed her washer and as I left my heart was so full of joy. I bet I haven't seen Jo Ann in nearly two decades.

I have said it before and ill say it again, I work for some of the greatest people on this Earth. Jo Ann and Lester are certainly in that category.

Love you all,
Your local and grateful appliance guy.

I love my job and I have always said that I genuinely believe that i work for the greatest human beings on planet Earth.

This week I've had a refrigerator that I believe is possessed. I've also had a dryer that gave me lots of fits.

Sometimes a man needs a ittle assistance.

Air flow strikes again. I recommend always using time dry. I also recommend never using high heat. The best way to see if you have restriction is when you dry towels on timed dry, those towels should be thoroughly dry in 65 minutes. If they are not, you have a dryrr ssue or an airflow issue. You must use time dry to know this. Many cycles are auto dry and they go off of sensors. So just because it says sixty minutes on auto, dry, it might run two hours. It might run twenty minutes. Timed dry is true run time. If they are not dry in that amount of time.I highly recommend having someone come out and inspect your issue. This customer was very fortunate, it didn't catch fire.

I have seen many things in my line of work over these last two decades but this was certainly a first. The gutter coming out of the wall is where the dryer vents. Not sure how it passed inspection but that is not my expertise.

One of my calls today this morning was on an old Maytag Gemini electric double oven. After I whipped the oven I walked out to the truck and wrote out the ticket. When I walked back inside to hand to the customer, I happened to peek in her laundry room and seen this Gibson side by side. Most have not heard of Gibson before but when I worked for Bion Acton, this was one of the only brands we sold. I then shared that with the sweet woman and soon realized that i was the one that delivered it some 30 years ago. This fridge was manufactured in 1996, the same year i started working at Acton's. I asked her how many times that its been worked on and she answered none that she can remember.

Dear government,

Can we please bring back these appliances that last longer than 5.1 years.

With love,
Your local appliance guy.

My newest friend Alicia. I met her a few weeks back and was blown away by her kindness. Today, I had to fix their dishwasher and she got me a Christmas gift and made me some cards she attached to the front door.
She has to be one of the sweetest little girls I have ever met.

Merry Christmas all!

My last job was a minor in and out deal. I was speaking with the customer afterwards and he shared how he just buried a child from brain cancer. Four years ago he lost his other son to brain cancer. He is currently dealing with his wife who has pretty advanced dementia. I share all this and ask for your prayers for this family.

Dad always said that someone down the road will make your large problems seem very small.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts and prayers. I appreciate it and I know they will as well.
