☀️ Summer Days Dreaming… 💦

These photos of the Highland Park Pool here in Guthrie capture something so many of us remember — long summer afternoons, the bright mural on the wall, the lifeguard stands, kids splashing, parents visiting under the umbrellas, and the feeling that this was the heart of summer.

This pool wasn’t just a place to swim.
It was a community gathering spot, a memory-maker, and a little piece of Guthrie magic.

As many of you know, our Friends of the Guthrie Pool team has been working hard — every single week — to bring that magic back to life with a brand-new community pool. We’ve already made wonderful progress, and we’re committed to honoring what Highland Park meant to this town while building something future generations can love just as much.

If these photos stir up warm memories for you, then you know exactly why this project matters. Guthrie deserves a place like this again — a place where community comes together, where kids learn to swim, and where summer truly feels like summer.

Good morning, friends! ☀️💙

We want to share a quick update as we continue pushing forward every single day to promote and fund the new Guthrie community pool. We’ve made wonderful progress, and it’s more important than ever for our community to stay informed and involved as this project moves ahead.

Today at 12:00 PM, Carol Seid will be speaking about the pool project at the Ministerial Alliance meeting at Simone’s Café.

Then tonight, at 6:00 PM, both Bette Berline Carole Seid will be sharing an update at the Guthrie City Council meeting.

If you’re able, we’d love to have friendly faces in the room. Your support, encouragement, and excitement show just how much this matters to Guthrie.

The train is moving — and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this wonderful project. 🚂💦

Guthrie residents and officials are working to raise funds for a new city pool, aiming to have it ready by 2027 after three summers without one.
