Summer Camp Offers Nonstop Fun for 300+ Guttenberg Kids

The Department of Recreation recently concluded a highly successful annual Summer Camp season from Jul. 6 through Aug. 14, 2026 providing 30 days of structured programming for more than 300 registered participants ages 6 to 13. This year’s camp offered daily lunch and snacks for all attendees, along with scheduled trips to the Secaucus Swim Club and Braddock Park, a full range of indoor and outdoor athletic activities, arts and crafts, themed program days, and numerous additional recreational opportunities designed to enrich the experience of every camper.

The Recreation Department extends its appreciation to all families for their continued trust, and hopes that each participant enjoyed a safe, engaging, and memorable summer. This year marked the first Summer Camp overseen by Director Jorge Gomez, who expresses his sincere gratitude to Mayor Wayne Zitt, Councilman John Habermann, and the entire Town Council for their leadership and support. Director Gomez also acknowledges the exceptional efforts of the summer staff, whose professionalism and dedication ensured the program’s success and upheld the Town’s commitment to high‑quality youth services.
