!!! CAPTURED !!! A combined effort from OHP, Harper County Sheriff’s Office and Woodward Police Department resulted in Frank Garcia’s capture. He was arrested around the community of May Oklahoma this afternoon 02/11/21.

Today we honored fallen Trp. Billy Young at the Woodward Cemetery with a wreath laying ceremony. Trp. Young along with Trp. Summers and Lt. Grimes were killed on May 26, 1978 on what is described as the “Darkest Day” of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. All three Troopers were killed attempting to apprehend two escaped inmates.
