NOW HIRING — FIELD DATA COLLECTION APPRAISER

The Texas County Assessor’s Office is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person with a great attitude to join our team!

This is a hands-on position involving outdoor fieldwork, recording data, measuring buildings, taking photographs, reading maps, and collecting property information to determine property values.

We’re looking for someone who:
Has a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Is comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
Can stand, sit, and walk on uneven ground.
Has basic computer and digital photography skills
Can read maps and calculate area and volume
Is willing to learn and apply new information
Completing coursework and passing mandatory state tests
Is professional, polite, and comfortable working with the public
Can pass random drug and/or alcohol testing

Previous appraisal experience is not necessarily required — the ability to learn, pay attention to detail, and work well with others is important.

NOTICE OF PROPERTY INSPECTIONS

In accordance with 68 O.S. § 2820, the County Assessor is required to conduct a visual inspection of all taxable property at least once every four (4) years.

Our office maintains an ongoing inspection program to comply with state law. The 4 Year Visual Inspection cycle plan is filed with the Oklahoma Tax Commission and can be viewed in our office or emailed to you upon request.

Field staff is currently working in Guymon collecting property data and photographs for assessment purposes.

We appreciate your cooperation as we fulfill this legal requirement to ensure fair and accurate property valuations.

Our field staff is currently working in the City of Guymon updating property records to ensure fair and accurate assessments.

🏡They may be:
• Verifying property details
• Measuring structures or noting improvements
• Taking exterior photos for records

🟢 A green notice will be left on your door before we inspect your property when we attempt to contact the resident.

🔎 Staff are clearly identified and will NOT request entry into your home.
