Texas County Health Department meets health needs for all stages in your life. We provide family planning services, WIC (women, infants, and children) Nutrition Program, immunizations, and communicable disease and control. The health department is also responsible for consumer protection and the inspection of restaurants, hotels/motels, as well as public health-related complaints. The Oklahoma Sta

te Department of Health and the Department of Education have partnered to provide SoonerStart (Early Intervention) to assist families with children who may be experiencing developmental delays. All of the services offered through the Texas County Health Department are overseen by trained and qualified staff.

The Oklahoma Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) has released a public grant application through a Notice of Funding Opportunity for the Expanding Care: Doulas Program.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. CT on July 27, 2026.

This program will issue at least $2,500,000 in one or more awards to support rural maternal and child health by expanding access to doula care.

The Oklahoma Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) has released a public grant application through a Notice of Funding Opportunity for the Behavioral Health Integration – Medications for Opioid and Alcohol Use Disorder program.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. CT on July 10, 2026.

Individual program awards are anticipated to be up to $1 million, with the number of awards depending on the number of applications received. OSDH may fund one project or several, based on need and available resources.

The Oklahoma Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) has released a public grant application through a Notice of Funding Opportunity for Emergency Medical Service and Community Paramedicine Vehicles.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. CT on July 20, 2026.

OSDH anticipates allocating up to 20 grants, with individual awards of up to $350,000, to eligible entities to purchase Community Paramedicine-specific vehicles or ambulances to serve the needs of rural Oklahoma and facilitate deployment of Community Paramedics.
