We're looking for someone to work on the back of our trash truck for the Tuesday route! Our sanitation team starts around 3 a.m. and is usually done before 11. Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Pay is $22 per hour. Contact the township office or refer to our website at sandstownshipmi.gov for an application.

The Sands Township Fire Department is collecting non-perishable foods in support of The Battle of the Badges, a charitable food drive and kart race taking place August 15, 2026 at 4:15 p.m. during the Marquette County Fair.

Collections bins are located at the Sands Township office. Please stop by to make a donation to support our local food banks.

As a reminder, Sands Township voters who are mapped to the Marquette County School District may vote in the Marquette Area Public Schools Bond Proposal election on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.

You may register to vote and vote anytime up to 8 p.m. on Election Day.

You can register at any time up to 8 p.m. on Election Day at your city or township clerk’s office. If you’re registering another way, your voter registration application must be received or postmarked at least 15 days before the election.
