Auxiliary Bake Sale is tomorrow at the VFW Fall Craft show! Baked goods maybe brought to the post this afternoon or tomorrow morning. All baked items will be accepted! Thank you for your support!

The VFW house committee meeting is being rescheduled from this Thursday to Thursday, Oct. 23 at 6pm so the commander can attend.

Our American Legion Baseball team benefit is next Sunday. Please contact me if you have a basket donation for raffle and would like me to pick it up. Donations can also be brought to the Legion. Thank you.

Don't forget that the Gwinn VFW Auxiliary Christmas party is Wednesday, Dec. 20th at 7 pm at the VFW Post. We will have a short meeting at 6:30 and then the party. All Auxiliary members and all pasty workers are invited! If you are an Auxiliary member and would like to bring a snack or sweets to share we will gladly accept them but it is not required. Guests are not asked to bring anything. I hope to see you all there!

All Auxiliary members are invited to march in the parade on Monday. Meet at Peter Nordeen Park by 9:15 a.m. We need one person willing to guard the American flag and everyone else can line up behind the flags. We will be marching with our new Auxiliary flag so please join us on Monday.

ATTENTION Members

Please plan to attend the Ishpeming National Guard Departure Ceremony to be held this Saturday, January 7th at 10 a.m. at NMU's Superior Dome.

We wish our Guardsmen the best as they deploy to Kuwait. Let's show our support for them at this special event. Please wear your VFW Hats to show your support.

Friday is Veterans Day. VFW Post 5670 is hosting an open house at the post home from 4pm to 8pm and is open to the public. Our auxiliary has been asked to provide finger foods for this open house. So far we have a cheese and sausage tray with crackers.

Some suggestions are: chips and dip, devilled eggs, any kind of sweets, fruit tray, veggie tray, veggie pizza, ham roll ups, cheese balls and crackers, and anything else you can think of.

Auxiliary members, you are awesome!! Thank you so much for all the baked goods that you donated to the Fall craft show on Nov. 5th! Customers donated over $578 to our bake sale booth. Thanks again!
