Celebrate Safely!!!

As we begin the week honoring our country’s independence, we at the Forsyth Township PD want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable holiday. Enjoy all that Forsyth Township has to offer during this time- July 3rd Street Dance, July 4th Parade (10am), Fireworks put on by our amazing FD/EMS crew. Go check the Alumni Tournament.

Starting today, June 29th, fireworks can legally be used. This will extend until July 4th and fireworks cannot be used past 11:45 pm each night.

It is a great time to celebrate with family and friends; we ask you to please use safe practices. We have attached a link to the Forsyth Township Fireworks Ordinance. Please adhere to this ordinance, as fines for fireworks violations can exceed $500.

We fully understand and appreciate that some animals and people are highly affected by fireworks; however, the law allows for their use during the above stated times and hours. The Forsyth Township PD will do its best to address any fireworks violations during this busy weekend.

Reminder: please remove all pills from containers and place in a clear ziplock bag.

Only pills will be accepted. We cannot take liquids, ointments, patches, inhalers or needles.

This dog was located in the area of 553/Plains Street around 7:45 PM.
