Closing out Pride Month together in community at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center 🌈

The mission of New Bridge reminds us that while Pride is a celebration, it is also about ensuring that every person is treated with dignity and compassion. We are grateful to New Bridge’s LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness Center staff, whose expertise and lived experiences help provide affirming, lifesaving care to our residents right here in Bergen County, and the entire region.

Thank you to BNBMC President & CEO Deb Visconi and the entire Bergen New Bridge team for making our County's hospital a place where everyone is valued and cared for - and nobody is ever turned away.

While Pride Month may be ending, our commitment to our LGBTQ+ residents never does. Earlier this month, we hosted our annual Bergen County Pride Flag Raising in recognition of the history of this community, the progress made since the Stonewall Uprising that sparked the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement, and the work that still remains ahead.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our flag raising, to the tablers who came to share resources, and to our community honorees for the work they do every single day on behalf of our Bergen County residents.

Together, we celebrate this month of joy and hope - and the County of Bergen will always defend the right to authentically live, love, and be loved.
