Tomorrow, Sunday, June 7th, you can safely dispose of hazardous waste at the Hazardous Waste Collection Event hosted by the Bergen County Utilities Authority.

The event will run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Bergen Community College.

Collection events are free for Bergen County residents (ID required). No commercial vehicles are allowed, and no business or commercial waste will be accepted.

⭐May was an incredibly busy — and truly special — month! ⭐
Not only did we celebrate Older Americans Month, but we also marked a major milestone: the 50th Anniversary of the Southwest Senior Activity Center in East Rutherford! The Center officially opened its doors on May 14, 1976, and for 50 years it has been proudly serving and supporting our senior community. What an amazing legacy.

The seniors danced all day, laughed, reminisced, and filled the room with joy. It was a beautiful celebration of community, history, and togetherness. We were honored to welcome so many wonderful visitors who came to celebrate with us — including our county leadership and community partners. Their presence made the day even more meaningful.

🎉🎉🎉Here’s to 50 years of service, and to many more years of friendship, wellness, and community spirit at the Southwest Senior Activity Center!
