Care on the Corner

We had such a good day at the Care on the Corner Fun Fest this past Saturday. Thank you to Council person Sonya Collins-Clark, the Hackensack Fire Department, the Hackensack Police Department, Veolia Water, and BVMI for joining us and greeting our neighbors, young and old. Kids enjoyed games, building a friendship fence, receiving books, face painting and having lunch and snacks.

Thank you to everyone who donated food items. The items have been delivered to the Center for Food Action. Other donated items are being delivered to Oasis, A Haven For Women and Children.

NewARTS has had a great March. First we created those beautiful Cubism Shambrocks. Then we created Aboriginal-Inspired Dot Paintings. We finished up the month by creating images inspired by Okuda San Miguel. Okuda was born 19 November 1980. He is a Spanish painter and sculptor known for his distinctive style of colorful geometric patterns that portray animals, skulls, religious iconography and human figures. His murals can be seen on buildings and objects across the world in India, Italy, Mali, France, the United States, Japan, Chile, Brazil, Peru, South Africa, Mexico, Canada, Morocco, Ukraine and Spain.
