Last night our very own Keri Adams, Head of Periodicals and Teen Services, was honored with the 2026 Bergen County Historical Preservation Award for the creation of the Bergen County News Historical Archive. ⁣⁣⁣

Keri digitized our in-house microfilm collection to create the Bergen County News Historical Archive, making so much priceless local history accessible online to everyone for free! ⁣⁣⁣

This archive would not have been possible without the support of the . The Bergen County Historical News Archive project was funded by a grant from the NJ State Library’s initiative 𝘙𝘌𝘝 250: 𝘌𝘹𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘢 𝘑𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘺 𝘓𝘦𝘯𝘴 — an opportunity for public libraries to celebrate New Jersey’s contributions and place in history.⁣⁣⁣
