We are a volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the quality of life for our residents through environmental, economic, and social actions with guidance from the Sustainable Jersey program. We are a bi-partisan organization that seeks to establish sustainable initiatives in Haddon Heights as well as to participate and support initiatives in surrounding com
munities. Ultimately, we hope to educate, organize, promote, and inspire desire for and reality of an environmentally sound future for Haddon Heights and the larger Camden County. Sustainable Jersey is a "certification program for municipalities in New Jersey that want to go green, save money, and take steps to sustain their quality of life over the long term" (http://www.sustainablejersey.com/about.php). Sustainability is about easing our ecological footprint in various creative ways, saving the borough money, and improving overall quality of life. To accomplish this, we need resident support, input, and ideas. To this end, we have monthly working session meetings that are open to all interested volunteers.
