Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States at the Haddonfield Skirmish reenactment this Saturday, June 6, at the Indian King Tavern Historic Site.
Tour the historic tavern, where in 1777 the Declaration of Independence was officially entered into the minutes of the New Jersey Assembly and the Assembly adopted the Great Seal of New Jersey.
Tours of the Indian King Tavern Historic Site will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The reenactment of the Haddonfield Skirmish begins at 1:30 p.m. in front of the Indian King Tavern Historic Site on Kings Highway.
This event is made possible by the Friends of the Indian King Tavern Museum, an Officially Recognized Friends Organization of New Jersey State Parks. This year's event marks the 248th anniversary of the skirmish, which took place in June 1778.
