Hagerman Fire Protection District / Hagerman Quick Response Hagerman Fire District / Hagerman Quick Response Our organization provides Fire and EMS services for 110 square miles in and near the Hagerman Valley.

We are a mostly volunteer department, our Chief and Assistant Chief are the only full time employees and also serve as EMT's. We do maintain office hours 7 days a week 8am to 4pm. We respond to 100 fire calls per year and over 300 medical calls per year. Our fire division is trained in structure fire as well as wildland, wildland interface fire, extrication rescue and hazardous materials. Our QRU

is a basic non-transport EMS service. Many of our firefighters are cross trained as EMT's. The District is governed by a Board of Commissioners that are elected officials, we have 3 Board members. We also have a district secretary to manage our books. We have 19 volunteer firefighters, 8 firefighter/EMT's, and 8 EMT's serving the District. Our station has 8 apparatus bays and we have the following apparatus serving the District.

1- Type 1 4000 Gallon Support Water Tender
1- Type 1 2000 Gallon Tactical Water Tender
1- Type 6 Wildland Engine
2- Type 4 Wildland Engines
2- EMS Rescue Response Vehicles
2- Command Vehicles
1- All-Terrain EMS Rescue Vehicle/Transport Trailer and Tow Vehicle

Our wildland engine and crew returned from Oregon on Sunday afternoon after working the Fox Fire for two weeks. They were mobilized again on Wednesday for a preposition assignment in Boise. Assistant Chief Nelson was also mobilized as Strike Team Leader for the group of engines on the team. Today they were assigned fire patrol.
