FISHING WITH COPS
JULY 11th, 2026
LAKE VAN, DEXTER

We all had such a great time last year at this event and had an amazing turnout! We are looking forward to having it again this year!

Plans are in the making and we are currently looking for sponsors or donations to make this event happen. If anyone is interested please contact us at HPD or New Mexico Desert Dogs.

The following is a list of needs we are currently trying to put together to make this happen for the kids………

- Sponsors (monetary donations)

- 230 new kids fishing poles (each child gets a pole to use and keep after the event)

- bait and fishing supplies

- Any items donated for the raffles held during the event for both parents and children

- beverages (waters, juice boxes, soda, gatorades)

- Food services or food items to provide breakfast and lunch for the participants

-anything else that would be a fun contribution to make this event great

The kids (and cops) have so much fun at this event and we couldn’t make it possible without the help of sponsors and generous donations!! Thank you in advance for any support!! 🖤💙🖤

I am truly humbled by the amount of generosity in our community. Desert Hills Electric Supply, New Mexico Destert Dogs, Micheal and Melissa Paul, along with a host of other amazing people, provided 30 Thanksgiving dinners to families from Roswell to Artesia.

Thank you for all you do, we are grateful beyond words. They generously provided 15 wonderful Thanksgiving baskets to families in the Valley from Dexter, Hagerman, and Lake Arthur!

Also thank you to Ernesto and Elvira Portillo for your generous donation of a full Thanksgiving meal to one of our local families!
