Because food means a lot and planning on where to get and how to get it and how to pay for it can take up a lot of our precious time, we're going to place our June menu on this page right now. Mark all your favorites and if there's something you don't like, write in on the comment line. Broccoli seems to pop up quite often - just can't imagine why. Also the foot clinic is not going to be held at the Hagerman Sr Center in June (vacation time for the technician).

The senior center thrift shop has a leather rifle case, it looks like it had been for sale for $100 but we have it for sale for just $10. What a deal - if you have a naked rifle rolling around in your Cooper Mini, better hurry down and get some leather for it.

The senior center has metal exterior grade STARS!. A star on a house, often a metal barn star, typically signifies good luck, protection, and prosperity, originating from Pennsylvania Dutch traditions but now used as general Americana decor. Swap your lighted Santa for a good luck star that is good for the rest of the year(s). The two big stars are $10 each and and the three smaller stars are $5 each. You can dibs at 208 837 6120.

Big News for all of you who have had their federal and state taxes done at the senior center for upteen years (too many to count). Taxes will be done at the roomy Christian Center on Tuesdays from 9 to 3 starting in February. Call LaPosada at 208 735 1189 to make your appointment. It's no longer an AARP funded program, but it is still free and Bob Wunderlee will be the supervisor.

We did not sell our 7 foot pre-lit artificial tree, as seen in this photo. It's still for sale, the difference now is that is in a box, PERFECT for storing the coming year. It's a narrow tree, so it fits nicely in the average home, no lights to tangle, just slips together in three sections so set up and take down is a breeze. And it's green. And if you come buy this tree for $20, we'll throw in a cookie to sweeten the pot.
