This weekend, we had the privilege of not only attending the 2026 National Fallen Firefighters Memorial but also the honor of helping out with this beautiful tribute to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. To the family's of this weekend our hearts go out to you. To say it was a humbling experience is an understatement.

On Monday the cadets completed their Firefighter 2 Combined Evolutions 1 & 2. We would like to extend a big Thank you to the Hagerstown Fire Department for providing the apparatus and allowing the cadets to be the first MFRI class to utilize their new burn building. As you can see in the pictures, the cadets were able to navigate a new structure. Utilizing their skills and how to do a proper 360 followed by initiating command. They were even able to get some tips from the Chiefs of HFD.

We are currently doing a fundraiser for the Academy. Below is a link/QR code to order St. Patty's Day apparel. The money raised will go towards helping with funding of extra curricular field trips such as the CFSI Dinner and NFFM, along with other things for the cadets.

Friday and today the cadets participated in helping with the Nation Fallen Firefighters Memorial. The cadets worked hard beside the Frederick Co. Recruit Class. We are blessed to help out with such an amazing tribute to those who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Chief Ron Siarnicki (Executive Director of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and retired Chief of PG County) took time out of his busy day to talk with the cadets.
