While the polls may have closed, our work is far from over.

The Washington County Board of Elections team is committed to serving our local community every step of the way—working behind the scenes, supporting voters during elections, and assisting on the front lines whenever you need us.

Whether you have questions about voter registration, mail-in voting, election information, or future elections, we're here to help. Our mission is to ensure every eligible voter has the information and resources they need to participate confidently in the election process.

Just because the 2026 Gubernatorial Primary Election has ended doesn't mean our work stops. Planning, preparing, and serving our community continues every day as we look ahead to the 2026 Gubernatorial General Election.

On June 23, 2026, at 8:30 PM, the Washington County Board of Elections conducted a brief public meeting to select three (3) precincts for the State Board of Elections (SBE) Comprehensive Audit, in accordance with COMAR 33.08.05.04.

The selected precincts, each having at least 300 registered voters, are:

• Precinct 25-1 – Bethel Gardens
• Precinct 09-0 – Leitersburg Ruritan
• Precinct 23-0 – Heritage Academy

The Comprehensive Audit is a post-election process conducted by the State Board of Elections to verify the accuracy and integrity of election results.
