📸 Deadline Extended! The 2026 Faces of Hagerstown photo contest is now accepting submissions through Friday, August 14, 2026.

We’re extending the deadline to capture the excitement of America 250 celebrations and the authentic moments that make Hagerstown unique🇺🇸

We’re looking for candid photos that showcase the people who live, work, and play here—from community events and neighborhood gatherings to everyday moments that tell our city’s story.

Whether you’re snapping photos with your phone or shooting professionally, everyone is encouraged to enter!

🎓Students: We especially want to see Hagerstown through your eyes! Middle school, high school, and college photographers are encouraged to submit their work.

We’re also seeking photos that better reflect the diversity of our community, including images featuring Black, Latino, Asian, Pacific Islander, and Native American residents who help make downtown Hagerstown vibrant and welcoming.

Cyclists will be taking over downtown this weekend🚴🏾‍♀️🚴🏼‍♂️

Be sure to plan ahead for any traffic delays and street closures and join the fun in downtown!

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Mid-Atlantic Criterium Bicycle Races

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Criterium bicycle races will be held on Saturday, June 20th in downtown Hagerstown. The cyclists will race on a loop consisting of S. Potomac Street, W. Baltimore Street, Summit Avenue, and West Washington Street.

This event will require multiple street closures; please refer to the attached traffic control plan for details. The street closures will begin at 6:00 AM and will remain in effect until approximately 5:00 PM. Detour routes will be posted to direct vehicles around the closures. Motorists approaching the closures will encounter cones, barricades, detour signs, and other traffic control devices.

Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through the race route during the event.
