Nothing better than a slow soil drench. We’ve been working on transforming these trees for a number of years, and every spring it is so exciting to see their progress.

Happy Earth day everybody. How lucky are we to inhabit this beautiful planet?

For years we’ve celebrated Earth Day by acknowledging the gorgeous and wild spaces that we are blessed to know in Idaho and beyond, but this year I’d like to acknowledge the stewardship that allows our special spaces and species to thrive.

Thank-you, to all those who have been green-thumbs all their lives, those who are just starting out, and those who are just thinking about it all; or at all.

Plant a seed! Dig into some soil science!! Fail! Try again!

Loving this earth will be the best thing you ever do. Promise.

Happy planting. Happy Earth Day.

It’s Colby, obviously. Who else???

Abbs did crawl in earlier to dry-scrape it, but Colbs and the pressure washer are always the main-event.

If this isn’t commitment to keeping our valley chemical free then I don’t know what is!

Happy April folks! Spring has arrived and we are SO excited to get back to brewing the best organic fertilizer around.

At Mountain Valley Compost, we are not afraid to get dirty.

This is our 1100 gallon water tank that we use to brew our compost tea. We hand wash it every spring because we don’t want chemicals contaminating our brew! It’s always a joy to watch someone go in there. Can you guess who it is??
