It's time to break out your mitts and bats because the City of Half Moon Bay Adult Softball League is coming up!

This year, City of Half Moon Bay Recreation will be hosting 2 adult leagues, CO-ED and Men's, with the first games beginning in August. We will be accepting registrations for 8 Adult Men’s softball teams, and 8 Adult CO-ED softball teams. Deadline for registrations is Tuesday, July 14th and the registration fee is $500 per team. Call (650) 435-8259 for questions!

The Men's Adult League will take place on Tuesday evenings and the CO-ED Adult League will take place on Wednesday evenings. All games will be at Smith Field #3 (end of Wavecrest Rd, HMB CA).

The Adult Softball League will last 10 weeks and will conclude with each league’s championship tournament. These tournaments will take place the 1st week of October (10/5 & 10/6). The championship tournament will exclusively include the 4 teams with the highest record of wins. In cases where records are equal, the decision will go to the team that has the highest run differential. Games will begin at approximately 6pm and the last games of the evening will start at approximately 9pm.

Upcoming Foundational Dog Training Sessions with our wonderful trainer, Marian Pott, are open for registration! Through City of Half Moon Bay Recreation, Marian is offering K9 training classes at three different levels, each of which will consist of four classes.

Dates: Wednesdays; July 1, 15, 22, 29
Fee: $160 per dog

Join us on Saturday, September 19th, 2026 from 11am - 5pm in celebrating the end of another beautiful summer here in Half Moon Bay. With live music by the ROB TRACY BAND, LA GENTE SF, and MOONALICE - you KNOW it's going to be a good day!

This year we'll be hosting the party at John Carter Memorial Park - 10 Stone Pine Road in Half Moon Bay. Our new state-of-the-art amphitheater will be filled with great tunes, free caricatures, free face painting, free henna tattoos, a free photo booth and many local eateries nearby. Did you know International Yoga Day is Sunday, June 21st? If you are looking for yoga on the coastside, City of Half Moon Bay Recreation has you covered!

Join in on the International Yoga Day fun with Certified Yoga Instructor, Shylaja Nagineni at John. L Carter Park from 9:30-11:00am on June 21st.

From 9:30-10:15am, participants will experience a Guided Gentle Vinyasa Flow class and from 10:15-11:00am, there will be a yoga photo booth and organic juice. No flexibility is required –– just an open heart.

Register NOW for swimming lessons this summer - WEEKDAY or SUNDAY lessons!

The Coastside Aquatics Center is offering low-cost swim lessons to all children, teens and adults who live on the San Mateo Coast. Lessons will introduce students to basic personal life saving aquatic skills so they will be safe and enjoy being around water.

Beginning swim lessons will teach skills such as floating, the flutter kick, swimming on the front and back, jumping into water, treading, and basic diving.

Intermediate swim lessons are for those who can swim 25 yards (length of pool) with a front stroke and 25 yards with a stroke on their back and tread water. Participants should be at least 8 years old for the intermediate class.

All other classes, children must be at least 6 years of age and 50 inches tall (4'2") by first class.

Weekday Sessions:
- Monday through Thursday
- Eight 30-minute lessons per session
- Fee: $55 per student per session

Sunday Sessions:

Hello parents!! Looking to enhance your child's skills in the kitchen?
We are offering TWO summer sessions of an exciting Around the World: 2-Day Kids Cooking Workshop this summer with our phenomenal instructor, Christina Keas!

This workshop is the perfect opportunity for children (Ages 7-12) to enhance their skills in the kitchen. In this 2-day workshop, kids will cook their way through a few different cuisines, making simple, fresh dishes inspired by flavors from around the world. This is a small, hands-on group where each child is involved in preparing the food—working with real ingredients, building meals, and learning how different flavors and components come together.

Each day, they will make a few recipes and taste as they go!
