Hey Halfway! Summer is definitely happening! The temperatures outside are sure summerish! 🥵 The Baker County Libraries want to remind the Halfway community that the library is a cooling station. Hot?! Come on in! You don't have to read. Just sit a while. Here is something fun: need some fun summer reading ideas? Here is a challenge: read a book you read in high school as an adult. Hey Halfway! You know who is one of the greatest adventure writers of all time? Alexander Dumas! He wrote "The Three Musketeers" and "The Count of Monte Cristo." The Halfway Library was given ten copies of the abridged version. If you LOVE it, then maybe reading the unabridged is worth the read. Want a copy? Swing on by! They are FREE! It is YOUR Library! Hey Halfway! I don't usually post so often, but it is National Library Week! The theme of the week is Find YOUR Joy! You know what is bringing me joy right now? The library garden! Hey Halfway! Did you know that the beloved Winnie the Pooh is 100 years old this year? I don't know about you, but I have ALWAYS had a soft place in my heart for Pooh and ALL his friends. This library manager has something fun for Halfway's children! Here is the deal. This stuffed Pooh bear (pictured) is for the first child to correctly tell me (in person, in the library) where Winnie the Pooh got his name! This give away will happen this Saturday April 11th, at 1 pm. Fun! Pretty cool.😎

Hey Halfway! Here is the latest community puzzle that was finished. Big thanks to ALL the puzzlers who worked on it. Puzzles go together one piece at a time. There is an outdoor rug that blew onto the library grounds, if you are missing a rug, we may have it. It is hanging outside. If it is not picked up this week, it will go into the trash.
