Beginning on Memorial Day, May 26th through Labor Day, September 1st, the East and West Monponsett Pond beach parking lots will require a valid beach parking sticker.
Beach parking stickers may be obtained by completing a permit application through the town’s online permitting and licensing system. A copy of the applicant's state-issued driver's license or identification (ID) card as well as a copy of their vehicle registration for which the beach parking sticker will be applied to must be provided during the application process. All applications must be submitted online. A beach parking sticker will be issued upon the successful review of an application by the Board of Selectmen's office.
There is no cost for beach parking stickers for Halifax residents. If a resident has a recycling sticker for the current year, they do not need to apply for a beach parking sticker; they may utilize their recycling sticker as their beach parking sticker. Any resident who is enrolled into the Town's curbside collection program and hasn't obtained a recycling sticker for the current year may pick one up at the Recycling Center, 917 Plymouth Street.
This year, there will be a maximum of ten (10) non-resident beach parking stickers issued for a fee of one hundred dollars ($100) per sticker/vehicle.
Any vehicle parked at the Fourth Ave./Lingan St. or Holmes St./Route 36 beach parking lots without a valid beach parking sticker (or recycling sticker for the current year) will be issued a citation in the amount of fifty dollars ($50) by the Police department.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Cody, Pam, or myself. Questions from the public can be directed to the Board of Selectmen's office or to the Park's Commission ([email protected]).
