3rd Street will be closed, between Market Street & Strawberry Alley for water line work.

147 PAVING UPDATE:

Milling of SR 147 (Market Street) is scheduled to begin Monday 6/8 and conclude on Tuesday, 6/9 (2 days). The work is weather dependent so No Parking will be posted for the week. If the work is done, the signs will be removed. If weather prevents work from taking place, No Parking will not be enforced.

Scratch coat will be laid the following week. This is tentatively scheduled for Monday, 6/15 and Tuesday, 6/16. The same No Parking regulations will be posted with the same conditions.

The top coat will be laid the week of 6/22.

Flaggers will be in place during the work and the road will be one lane. It should re-open completely in the evening after work has concluded.

We'll put out more information as we get it. Please plan on using an alternate route if you can and plan ahead for traffic congestion!

*Final Update*
We are very appreciative that all the improperly dumped items have been removed. Grateful for everyone's support to help keep the Borough nice, your kind words and even offers to clean it up for free. It takes a Borough (village)

***UPDATE*** Thank you, responsible Wayne Township individual, for removing SOME of the items improperly dumped. However, Halifax Borough, DOES have video and there are more personal property items that STILL need removed. (Items that are not vegetation debris) We would really prefer to avoid further enforcement. Please note this vegetation recycling area is for VEGETATION disposal ONLY- For *Halifax Borough & Halifax Township* residents.

Friendly reminder, residents & neighbors- the recycling area is for *natural yard debris only*. Mattresses, wagons, and other trash items *cannot* be left there. If these items belong to you, please pick them up immediately to help keep the area clean and avoid a citation and/or fines. If anyone recognizes the vehicle involved, please notify the Borough office. Thank you for doing your part to keep Halifax Borough looking its best.
