Mayor Joy Cooper

10/07/2026

Today, we pause to remember the lives forever changed by the October 7th Massacre. We honor those whose lives were taken, hold close the survivors who carry both the memories and the scars, and stand with the families and loved ones whose lives will never be the same. In the face of unimaginable darkness, we remember the light, the music, the love, and the lives behind every name. May their memories remain a blessing, and may the courage of those who survived remind us of the extraordinary resilience of the human spirit. We remember. We honor. We will not forget.

Tonight at the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center (MARJCC) in North Miami Beach is hosting an October 7th commemoration event titled "October 7: We Remember" on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 7:00 PM
