City of Hallandale Beach administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day. Offices will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

The community’s response to the Hallandale Sounds concert series has been incredible, with the first show selling out well in advance.

Created in partnership with Sofar Sounds, the series brings intimate concerts to unexpected locations, with the venue and performers kept secret until shortly before each show. Guests can expect a mix of musical styles—from original ballads and jazz to other sounds—throughout the series.

As Hallandale Beach approaches its 100th anniversary in 2027, Sofar Sounds is one of several new experiences leading us into our centennial year. We look forward to welcoming ticket holders this Friday at 7 p.m. and continuing the series in the months ahead.

📬 Your TRIM notice is arriving—here’s what to look for.

Along with your TRIM notice, property owners will receive an insert with important information about the City’s proposed Stormwater Utility Fee changes.

Inside, you’ll find details about:
💧 Your proposed annual stormwater assessment
💧 The proposed move from monthly utility billing to annual collection on the property tax bill
💧 Current and proposed residential fee amounts
💧 How fees are calculated for residential and non-residential properties
💧 Key dates and what happens next

This is not a new fee. The City is completing the required public process to change how the existing Stormwater Utility Fee is collected. The amount shown on your TRIM notice is proposed and subject to City Commission approval.

When your TRIM notice arrives, look for the Stormwater Utility Fee insert inside and take a few minutes to learn about the proposed changes.

The precautionary boil water notice previously issued for Oleander Drive, Palm Drive, and Hibiscus Drive has been lifted.

The required water samples have been tested, and the results confirm that the water meets all required water-quality standards. Residents and businesses in the affected area may now resume normal water use. Boiling water before use is no longer necessary.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while the precautionary notice was in effect.

The Greater Hallandale Beach Chamber of Commerce recently hosted the 2026 State of the City Luncheon, bringing together local leaders, businesses and community partners for a conversation about Hallandale Beach’s progress and future.

During the event, Mayor Joy Cooper highlighted the City’s accomplishments, acknowledged the challenges ahead and shared a vision for a Hallandale Beach where every neighborhood matters and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Thank you to the Chamber for hosting this meaningful opportunity to reflect on how far our community has come and look ahead to the work still to come.

Thank you for an incredible Move by the Beach!

Over 100 community members joined us at North City Beach Park Facility for the launch of Wellness Saturday: Move by the Beach. We spent the morning moving, connecting, and enjoying a variety of wellness experiences together.

A big thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the launch so special, along with Bolay, Sip Society and Bloom for being part of the experience. Guests also enjoyed fresh CocoTaps and giveaways throughout the morning. 🥥

The good news is that there’s more to come. Registration for the next Move by the Beach is now open on Eventbrite.
