🩸 Thank You, Hallettsville! 🩸

The Blood Mobile expected just 5–6 donors during one of the toughest weeks of the year for blood collection. Instead, 15 community members showed up to donate!

Those donations could help save up to 45 lives and will help address the current blood shortage in Lavaca County.

Thank you to Walmart for coordinating the drive, South Texas Blood & Tissue for providing the Blood Mobile and staff, and most importantly, our donors for stepping up when it mattered most.

❤️ Hallettsville always shows what community looks like. ❤️

🚨 Today’s the Day — Help Save Lives at Our Community Blood Drive! 🚨

The Hallettsville Police Department is partnering with Walmart and the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center for today’s blood drive, and we need our community’s help.

Many community blood drives rely on the hope that “someone else will donate” — but today, we’re asking you to make a difference because every donor and every unit matters.

⚠️ Lavaca County is currently experiencing a critical blood shortage:
🩸 Less than a half-day supply of O-positive and O-negative
🩸 Zero units of B-negative
🩸 All other blood types are currently 3.5 days below projected need

This is especially concerning as we head into the busy summer months.

🎓 Students, friends, and family: You can donate on behalf of an upcoming junior or senior to help them earn graduation credits for the 2027/2028 school year!

Donor Information:
✔️ Bring a valid photo ID
✔️ Plan for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour

⏰ Best walk-in times for quicker service:
1:20 PM – 5:40 PM

If you’re able, please stop by and give. Your donation could help save a life right here in our community.
