We had an additional generous donation from the Karlstad Lions Club! If any other business/farm/individual is looking to support this event for the youth of Kittson County please reach out to one of our staff!

Our staff along with UMN Extension Kittson County 4-H welcomed 5th and 6th graders from Tri-County, Kittson Central, and Lancaster School to the fairgrounds on May 13th for the third annual Ag Safety Day. With the generous support of local sponsors and volunteers, we we're able to provide potentially life saving knowledge to these students on various topics. The stations included grain bin safety, tractor safety, electrical safety, vehicle safety, animal safety, and ATV safety. A big thank you to all the volunteers and presenters who made this event possible! We hope that each and every student went home with a better understanding on how to keep themselves and those around them safe! 😎⭐️

TEMPORARY PARKING UPDATE! City of Hallock construction crews have resumed work in front of the Kittson County Courthouse. Beginning Wednesday, May 6, 2026 through Friday, May 15, 2026 there will be no parking in front of the courthouse (along 5th Street S). Please use S Douglas Ave and Elm Avenue for visitor parking.

Kittson County Kindergarteners spent some time with Kittson SWCD staff learning about the Lorax and Arbor Day. I think it's safe to say the white spruce trees that were given out to each student are in safe hands with all of these little Lorax's 😃
