We'll be at Crooked Lake Park this evening for Summer in the City! Stop by and learn some fun facts about Crooked Lake!

***JOIN US TONIGHT!***

City leaders and staff will be at three City parks this summer to visit with residents. Check out demonstrations, play games, ask questions and tour fire trucks, police cars and public works equipment. FREE ice cream treats, entertainment and a prize drawing!

📆 June 23 - Riverview Park, 2420 105th Ave.
📆 July 14 - Alder Park, 50 104th Ln.

The meetings run from 6:30-8 p.m.

💧 The District averaged 1.48" of precipitation in May. That puts the District 2.31 inches (61%) below average for the month and 0.53 inches (8%) below average for the year.
💧All of Anoka County is now classified as Abnormally Dry.
💧Water levels and flows across the District are low, or approaching low, for this time of year
💧Ample storage capacity remains across the landscape.

While algae can be unsightly, it's not always dangerous. Filamentous algae often forms stringy mats and is not harmful to people, pets, or wildlife. Last week we hosted a tour of our Woodcrest Filter for local water management professionals! The Woodcrest Biochar & Iron Enhanced Sand Filter was Minnesota's first regional-scale stormwater best management practice (BMP) to incorporate biochar.
