Big Tree Elementary School students got the thrill of their young lives when Buffalo Bills Superstar Quarterback Josh Allen and some of his teammates made a visit to Big Tree Elementary School on Wednesday as part of a community visit by the team. They even went out on Frontier's Multi-Purpose field to throw the ball around with the kids. How cool is that!

The Frontier High School Bands, under the direction of Richard Riederer and Daryl Warren, proudly performed at the annual Memorial Day ceremony Monday at the Lake View Fire Hall. The bands presented a selection of patriotic favorites, including "God Bless America," "America the Beautiful" and "You’re a Grand Old Flag," helping honor the men and women who have served our country. A highlight of the event was a moving performance of "Taps" by Frontier High School trumpeter Drew Dvornski.

The Frontier Central School District’s 2026-2027 Budget passed May 19. It was Proposition 1 on the ballot. There were 659 yes votes and 376 no votes.

Proposition 2 passed. It modifies the maximum estimated cost (and financing arrangements) for the 2021 capital improvement project. There were 624 yes votes and 400 no votes.

Proposition 3 passed. It allows for the purchase and financing of school buses and similar vehicles. There were 718 yes votes and 323 no votes.

Proposition 4 failed. It would have reduced the number of school board members from seven to five. There were 361 yes votes and 678 no votes.

There were three candidates running for three seats on the Board of Education.

Robert Sank got the most votes with 661. Chelsie Bertrand got the second-highest number of votes with 623. Mary Ann Costello got the third-highest number of votes with 615. There were 86 write-in votes.

Sank is elected to a four-year term that expires June 30, 2030. Bertrand is elected to fill a vacancy that expires June 30, 2028. Costello is elected to fill a vacancy that expires June 30, 2027.
