On Sunday, August 13, 2023, from Noon to 6 p.m. Post 1419 and American Legion 527 will be hosting a Veterans and First Responders Appreciation Day at 2985 Lakeview Road, Hamburg.
The event will kick off with a parade including the Honor Guards from both our Post, the American Legion and Greater Buffalo Firefighters Drum and Pipes Band. National Anthem will be performed by George Miller.
This event is family friendly and will have many activities, that include Static displays, K9 demonstration, a Bounce House, Dunk Tank, Basketball hoop, Axe Throwing, Co****le tournament. Free draft beer & food will include hot dogs, clams, corn on the cob, salads, and desserts. Porcelain Train Band will be playing from 2-4 p.m., with a guest MC/DJ in between. This event is FREE to all Veterans/First Responders and their families. We do ask that each attendee bring a non-perishable food item, which will be donated to the K.I.A. Memorial Roadmarch, which is held every August at Chestnut Ridge Park. There will also be a 50/50 and basket raffles, where all proceeds will also be donated to the K.I.A. If you would like to volunteer for this event, donate a basket or gift card, please contact (716) 432-0829.

This event is Free, so we are asking attendees to RSVP via our event post or the number provided; so we have an appropriate amount of food.

VA Western New York Healthcare System Veterans can compete in the National Veterans Creative Arts Competition!
The local Veterans Creative Arts Festival will take place on Friday, August 4th, 2023. Details below.
VETERAN ARTIST ENTRY registration deadline to compete and participate in the competition is July 25th, 2023.
If not competing, just come by to see and hear terrific art, crafts, poetry and music created or performed by our local Veteran artists from WNY!

We want to make sure that everyone knows the change for our distribution. If you are picking up for 3 or more people, we consider that a group pick up. PLEASE be at our office at 8:30am on the mornings for pickups. There will be a line as usual, PLEASE go by that line and pull around directly to our office. DO NOT sit in that line and wait. We want to get those of you through and out. You MUST have the following information for those you are picking up for:
