At My Brother’s Place, we create an atmosphere where families experience the love of Jesus in a stable and safe place for re-establishing themselves together. We assist each family based on their individual needs by creating a personalized and practical plan to help them become active, thriving members of their own community. Every family’s situation is different and our staff will personally meet

with each family to decide, together, how My Brother’s Place can help. My Brother’s Place helps families in the following ways:

Homelessness Prevention: Families on the verge of eviction may receive financial assistance with household bills, groceries, and mortgage/rent payments for a period of time while they work with My Brother’s Place to regain financial independence. Community-Based Rapid Re-Housing: My Brother’s Place will assist families in securing a rental property and work directly with landlord’s to make payments of rent and utility bills. Our goal is to help families stay together within their community and become financially independent, preventing the need to change schools, jobs or the need to seek out a homeless shelter. Short-term Housing: We are currently raising funds to purchase property(s) that will act as the short-term homes for families who need a safe and secure place to stay while working with us to reestablish themselves financially. My Brother’s Place families may also receive assistance with:

Biblical Counseling
Budgeting and financial planning
Resume building, interview preparation, and professional networking

We are currently raising funds to assist families who are facing eviction, and to purchase a property(s) that will serve as the temporary home for families facing eviction. We invite you to learn more about MBP at www.mybrothersplace.com.

It is with great sadness that we remember the life of Melodee, a beloved longtime board member of My Brother's Place whose legacy of compassion, wisdom, and unwavering faith in Christ has left an immeasurable mark on our ministry and to everyone who was privileged to know her.

For many years, Melodee faithfully served alongside us with a servant's heart since the very first My Brother's Place Board Meeting. She possessed a rare gift of meeting people exactly where they were, without judgment, without pretense, and always showing genuine concern.

Her counsel was one of her greatest gifts. Melodee never shied away from speaking the truth, but she always spoke it with grace, and always so eloquently. She truly had a way with words. Her advice was always honest, but thoughtful, and firmly rooted in God's Word. She understood that true encouragement isn't simply telling people what they want (or need) to hear, but lovingly pointing them toward Christ, His promises, and His transforming power.

She prayed faithfully for our ministry, listened intently to the clients she met with, and cared deeply for every person she encountered. Her wisdom helped shape the direction of My Brother's Place, but her kindness helped transform many lives of families in need.

We miss her greatly, but we rejoice in the assurance that Melodee is now in the presence of her Savior.

We are grateful for Melodee's many years of service, for her friendship, and for the countless ways she reflected Christ's love. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered as part of the My Brother's Place family.
