Hi, shelter friends! Rudy here, formerly Putnum. I wanted to personally check in and let everyone know that I absolutely love my new life!! I've settled into my new home nicely. I have my own yard now, which I take very seriously. Every squirrel, leaf, and suspicious breeze is thoroughly investigated. My parents seem impressed with my security efforts, though they occasionally call it "just staring at nothing." I've discovered couches, beds, blankets, air conditioning, and belly rubs. I'm a big fan of blueberries and watermelon! Whoever invented these things deserves a medal. My family tells me I've made a lot of progress. I'm learning my manners, getting better every day, and trying very hard to remember that not everyone appreciates being greeted with my full body weight. Sometimes I forget. I'm still a puppy, after all. Most importantly, I've learned that I'm safe. I don't have to worry about where I'll sleep, when I'll eat, or whether someone will come for me. I have a home, a yard, a family who loves me, and more toys than I know what to do with. Thank you for taking care of me and helping me find my people. I know there are a lot of dogs still waiting for their chance, and I'm proof that the wait is worth it. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a very important nap scheduled.
With love,

We can't thank you all enough for helping us bring our little man into our home. We didn't realize how big of a hole our soul dog had left, there's no doubt on my mind that Sully sent Rudy our way 💛 We wanted to share this pupdate and show some pictures of our happy boy!
Best,
Lauren, Sean & Rudy McKernan
