Last Thursday, we celebrated our Quinnipiac University Public Service Fellow, Kiera Baxter, as she concluded her fellowship with the Hamden Town Clerk's Office.

One of the first questions I asked Kiera was, "What are you interested in....?"Her answer .....Accessibility.

That single word shaped her time in the Town Clerk’s Office.

Through governance research, bylaw development, stakeholder surveys, data analysis, and community engagement, she helped lay the foundation for meaningful enhancements that will strengthen our Boards & Commissions program for years to come.

Kiera, thank you for your thoughtful leadership and commitment to public service.

Your fellowship may have come to an end, but your contributions will continue to shape our work.

Today marks an important milestone for Connecticut voters.

For the first time, every eligible registered voter may vote by absentee ballot without providing a reason or excuse.

If you are enrolled in the Democratic Party, you may now request an absentee ballot for the August 11, 2026 Connecticut Democratic State Primary.
