Meet your firefighter Friday! This is Colby Del Carlo. He got started in the fire service because he wanted a career where he could help people and be part of something bigger than himself. Being able to serve the community around Lake Almanor while constantly learning and growing has made this job incredibly rewarding. He really enjoys golfing, and spending time with his friends and family. One of the things he loves most about working for Peninsula Fire Protection Distrist is the natural beauty of the Lake Almanor area as well as the supportive community that surrounds it.

He joined the fire service to help people and have a job that encouraged an active lifestyle. His favorite part of working for Peninsula Fire is the rural operational dynamic. He plans on obtaining his paramedic license in the near future as well as pursuing specialized water rescue training to better serve the community. In his free time Jimmy enjoys hunting, fishing and working with his hands.
